Randall Mark: Perspectives, a weekly lifestyle information series devoted to exploring diverse cultures and their spiritual beliefs, will premiere Sept. 1 on Joytv.
The half-hour program, hosted by award-winning broadcaster Randall Mark (The Standard) airs Mondays at 10:30 p.m. and repeats Tuesdays at 3 p.m. on Vancouver’s Joytv 10.
Produced locally in Vancouver, Randall Mark: Perspectives is a unique and engaging multicultural program that will examine the human spiritual experience from the perspectives of many different faiths, including Buddhist, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Christian.
Said host Randall Mark: “This series will explore how the realm of faith touches upon everything we do. All of us live surrounded by different cultures, yet many of us don’t understand or appreciate the beauty that exists right next door. From the places we travel to the food we eat, from the music we hear to the movies we watch – all of these inform our different perspectives.”
Added Executive Producer Joan Jenkinson: “Randall Mark: Perspectives will break the mold for spiritual television. It is a cutting-edge program that will engage with a wide variety of faith and cultural traditions in an upbeat, entertaining and occasionally irreverent style.”
Randall Mark is a religious scholar whose PhD studies focused on the interplay of religion, spirituality and popular culture. Before launching his television career, he taught world religions, philosophy and ethics.
