Toronto-based S-VOX is pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Elphick as General Sales Manager for Joytv 10 (CHNU-TV) in Vancouver, effective July 12.
A sales and marketing professional with more than 30 years of broadcasting industry experience, Mr. Elphick will be responsible for overseeing local and regional advertising sales for Joytv 10, a conventional over-the-air station serving the Vancouver, Victoria and Fraser Valley regions of British Columbia.
Mr. Elphick’s prior experience includes serving as Director, National Sales, Western Region for CTVglobemedia from 1997 to 2008.
Before that, Mr. Elphick worked as Regional Sales Manager for CBC TV in Vancouver, and as General Sales Manager for CKPG-TV in Prince George, B.C. As National & Direct Sales Manager at CTV/Baton Broadcasting from 1990 to 1991, he played an instrumental role in establishing a retail sales department for Toronto’s CFTO-TV.
A 2009 winner of the Association of Broadcast Communicators (ABCOM) Audrey Award for leadership and success in broadcast sales and marketing, Mr. Elphick worked most recently with the CTV Olympic Broadcast Consortium on efforts to generate regional advertising sales.
